Obituary of Connie L. Trevino
Connie Loya Trevino, age 81, died peacefully in her East Austin home Wednesday, December 16, 2020.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Loya and Theresa Molina; her son, Paul and her lifelong partner, John.
Connie is survived by her children, John Trevino Jr., Mary Riojas, Peter
Trevino(Sandra), Michael Trevino(Mary Alice), Mark Trevino, Patricia Castilleja(Frank), and
Jesse Trevino(Alicia); her daughter-in-law, Delisse Trevino.
Connie spent the majority of her life raising her family. While she had miscellaneous jobs, her
most rewarding title was “MOM” and “Grandma”. She leaves behind a legacy of life lessons, with
over a dozen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Her
long list of recipes, advice, and quirky humor will be remembered and shared for many years to
come. Connie loved her East Austin community and was a mom to the neighborhood children.
Connie was a strong believer in her Catholic faith which she instilled in her family.
Pallbearers are Connie’s grandson’s, Peter Trevino Jr, James, Frank and Matthew Castilleja,
Ryan Trevino, Brandon Trevino, and Joshua Rendon. Honorary Pallbearer, Jesse Trevino.
The family would like to extend their thank you to Kindred Hospice for their superlative care
during these final months, and special love to Veronica and Sue.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 22, 2020, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St., Austin, Texas 78702.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place the following morning, Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1206 E. 9th St., Austin, Texas 78702.
Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery.
Due to the Coronavirus / COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,
capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.
Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask
and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more. If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,
it is recommended that you not attend services.
The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support
during this very difficult time.
