Obituary of George C. Arredondo
Our beloved George C. Arredondo, age 87, resident of Austin, was called to our Heavenly Father on Sunday, November 29, 2020.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 42 years, Rebecca Moreno Arredondo; his parents, Faustino Arredondo and Maggie Corpus Hernandez; his son Manny Frank Arredondo; his siblings, Beatrice Monreal, Roumaldo Hernandez, Pete Hernandez, and Arthur "Turk" Hernandez.
George is survived by his children, Dennis George Arredondo (Maria), Lorraine Arredondo Bisig, Lonnie Pete Arredondo, Gerard "Trix" Gonzales (Bunnie), and Rebecca Marie Gomez (David); his daughter in-law Nora Arredondo; his siblings, Sister Eva Hernandez, SMIC, Gonzalo Hernandez Jr. (Connie), and Mary Helen Martinez (Robert); his grandchildren, George Anthony Arredondo, Denise C. Arredondo (Anthony), Laura Melody Euresti (Andrew), Jason D. Arredondo, Shauntel M. Reynoso (Jose), Linda C. Bisig (Ruben), Audra L. Cortez (Jonathan), Stephanie Seyle (Mark), Nicolas J. Arredondo, Grace R. Muraida (Justin), Colton Gonzales, Wesley Gonzales, A. Jacob Ruiz, Manuel Thomas Rebolloso; 16 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and more loving family and friends.
Special thank you to Lisa Mais, RN and staff at Christopher House for their care and attention to our dad and grandpa. Special thank you to his son, Lonnie for his love and care to him for the past 15 years.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 8, 2020, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St. Austin, Texas 78702.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary in person is private to family only and will be live-streamed to the public.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place the following morning, Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at 11:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1206 E. 9th St. Austin, Texas 78702.
Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery.
