Obituary of Frank Cantu, Jr.
Our beloved Frank Cantu, Jr., resident of Austin, age 67, was born into Eternal Life on Thursday, November 26, 2020. He is reunited with his brother, Jesse Rangel; and his grandparents, Jose Maria "Chemita" and Maria Cantu.
Frank leaves behind his beloved children, Monica Traylor, and her husband, Will, Frank Cantu, III, and his wife, Michelle, and A.J. Cantu (Ashley); his grandchildren, William Traylor, Meadow Traylor, Dahiana Traylor, Mary Cantu, Frank Cantu, IV; his sisters, Dora Cantu, Isabel Trujillo, Mary Sue Cantu; his brother, Joe Cantu; his father Frank Cantu, Sr.; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and many friends. Frank was always the life of the party and made everyone laugh! He loved being surrounded by his family and loved each and every one of his family members! He will be greatly missed!
On behalf of Frank's children, they would like to say a special thank you to Rita Hernandez, MarySue Cantu, Gloria Cantu (Mom) and the Staff at SouthPark Meadows Nursing Home. Especially, Nurse Michelle Clark. They also extend their thanks to George Morales.
Pall Bearers will be Raymond Martinez, Rudy Torrez Jr, Cruz Castro, Steven Rayos, Jesse Cantu, and Albert Garcia. Honorary Pall Bearers will be David Aleman Jr, Ray Trujillo, Ruben Trujillo, Frank Cantu IV, and William Traylor.
Visitation will take place at 10:00 a.m.on Friday, December 4, 2020, with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 12:00 p.m. at Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 East Cesar Chavez Street, Austin, Texas.
Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
Due to the Coronavirus / COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,
Visitation is limited in capacity.
The funeral home chapel has restricted occupancy to 50% of its maximum; about 60 persons.
Please remember to exercise social distancing as often as possible for your safety and the safety of those around you.
Each person entering the funeral home is required to have a mask
and practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.
