Obituary of Becky Cisneros
On November 26, 2020, the world lost Becky Cisneros, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend. Becky was the type of person that lived life to the fullest. Becky was born on October 16, 1961 in Austin, Texas and spent her entire life living there near family. In recent years she encountered many health battles, however she never allowed this to limit her from showing endless love and sharing her infectious laugh with others. Becky was fierce when it came to protecting her children and grandchildren. She would go to any extreme to ensure everyone was safe at home and well fed (with many tortillas and much salsa). Often times, she had been known to move her couch in front of the front door to keep her boys at home during their younger years…and if they tried to pull a fast one and leave through the window, she would get in the car, find them and bring them home just as quickly as they tried to leave.
When it came to having fun, Becky was always the life of the party. She loved to sing and dance to all types of music. She could rap, dance Tejano, or sing a country ballad. Becky also enjoyed recording herself singing love songs to her family and then sending those tender messages as a reminder of her feelings. A recent recording that she shared said, “I love y’all very much… you know grandma does…she always has y’all in her heart…she loves y’all very much.” This love song and the way Becky made every person feel tremendously loved will never be forgotten. It left an eternal mark on the hearts of her family and every person she knew. Becky will be sorely missed.
Becky is preceded in death by her parents, Crispin Robledo and Lydia Juarez. She is survived by her partner, Oswaldo Sanchez; children (and spouses), Roy Jr. (Adrienne) Cisneros, Carlos (Cynthia) Cisneros, Raquel (Alex) Garza, Melissa Ann (Lorenso Joe) Munoz; siblings (and spouses), Crispin (Catherine) Robledo, Sally (Carlos) Resto; grandchildren (and spouse), Marissa Ruiz, Alexandria Ruiz, Roy A.
