Obituary of Gilberto Rodriguez

Our Gilberto Rodriguez Sr., age 60, of Austin, Texas, was called to our Heavenly Father on Saturday, November 21, 2020. He was preceded in death by his father, Santos Rodriguez Sr.; brothers, Santos Rodriguez Jr. and Richard Rodriguez.

Gilberto is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Diana Lynn Rodriguez; mother, Natalia (Juan Padron), Rodriguez children, Gilbert Rodriguez Jr., Audrey Lynn Rodriguez (Cipriano) Rojas; siblings, Evangelina (Joe) Godinez, Steve Rodriguez, Irene (Leoncio) Balderas, Mary Helen (Alex) Gonzales, Margie (Noe) Rodriguez; grandchildern, Samantha Rodriguez, Mathew (Amara) Rodriguez, Korea Rodriguez ,Destiny Valdez,Jeremiah Valdez; great grandchildern, Lilianna Aguado, Jesiah Quiroz, Julian Quiroz, Zaedah Sanchez, Anastasia Rodriguez; as well as numerous loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Visitation will be held at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, November 29, 2020, at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 S. First St. Austin, Texas, 78745. Funeral Services will begin at 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 30, 2020, also at Mission Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery.

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask

and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services.

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
