Obituary of Esperanza Martinez Nuncio
Our beloved Esperanza Martinez Nuncio, age 78, was called to our Heavenly Father on Monday, October 19, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Jose Maria Nuncio; her parents, Santiago Martinez and Maria De Refugio, and her brother, Guadalupe Martinez.
Esperanza is survived by her children, Ruben Nuncio, Sonia Nuncio, and Jose Jaime Nuncio, Sr.; grandchildren, Ruben Nuncio, Daisy Nuncio, Celeste Nuncio and her fiance, Benny Ochoa, Madison Nuncio, Katalina Nuncio, and Jose "JJ" Jaime Nuncio, Jr.; great grandchildren, Mathew Nuncio, Angel Nuncio, Maliyah Ochoa, Brielle Ochoa, and Ace Ochoa, and many other loving family members and friends.
Pallbearers will be Ruben Nuncio, Jose Jaime Nuncio, Sr., Juan Martinez, Ruben Nuncio, Jr., Benny Ochoa, and Rudy Sanchez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mathew Nuncio, Angel Nuncio, Jose "JJ" Jaime Nuncio, Jr., and Ace Ochoa.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m. for extended family and friends on Sunday, October 25, 2020 at Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St., Austin, Texas. Visitation for immediate family will be held from 6:00-9:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., Sunday, October 25, 2020 also at Mission Funeral Home - East Side. Recitation of Holy Rosary will be live-streamed for those unable to attend due to capacity issues.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 26, 2020 at Sta. Julia Catholic Church, Tillery and Lyon St., Austin, Texas. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH 35 Frontage Rd., Austin, Texas.

Due to the Coronavirus / COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,
capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.
Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask
and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more. If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,
it is recommended that you not attend services.
