In Memory of Alejandro (Alex) F. Martinez, Sr. February 28, 1915-February 15, 2003Our beloved Alejandro (Alex) F. Martinez, Sr., age 87, resident of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Saturday February 15, 2003. Mr. Martinez was a veteran of WWII with the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his beloved Wife of 39 years; Georgia C. Martinez of Austin, Beloved Children; Alex Martinez (Penni), Irma Constancio (Enes, Sr.), Dolores Perez (Arnold), George Martinez (Mary), Isaac Martinez (Irma), Stella Zapata (Jose), Fernando (Vicki), Gloria ?Missy? Martinez all of Austin, Yolanda Martinez of Ohio, and Gilbert Martinez (Margie) of Houston, Texas, Brothers and Sisters; Gertrude Escobedo, Cindy Arent and Sinforiano Martinez all of Austin and Felix Martinez of Marble Falls, Texas. Mr. Martinez is survived by 34 Grandchildren and 29 Great-Grandchildren.
Recitation of rosary Monday 6:30pm at the Mission Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Resurection will be celebrated Tuesday at 11:00am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. J.C. Cain, O.M.I. to officiate. Interment at Assumption Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are David Guerrero, Gabriel Estrada, Luis Cuevas, Enes Constancio, Jr., Alex Martinez, III and Martin Berron.
