Obituary of Gilbert "Beta" V. Abeita

Our beloved Gilbert "Beta" Abeita, age 62, was called to our Heavenly Father on Monday, October 12, 2020.  He was preceded in death by his paretns, Pedro and Alejandra Abeita; his brothers, Robert, Daniel, and Rudy Abeita; his sisters Lucille Gaona (Eugene), Mary Louise Abeita (Manuel), and Audelia Abeita, and his brother-in-law, Joel Lozano.

Beta is survived by his sisters, Orfalinda Limon (Pedro), Lillian Lozano, Olivia Garcia (Jose); his brother, Anthony Acosta (Gloria); his sister-in-law, Irene Abeita, and numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 9:00-11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 21, 2020.  Recitation of Holy Rosary followed by a Scripture Service will begin at 11:00 a.m., following Visitation, at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.  Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask

and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services. 

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
