Obituary of David Paul Nieto

Our brother, David passed away on October 10, 2020 at the Brodie Ranch Nursing and Rehab Center in Austin, Texas. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Moira Nieto; his son, David Paul Nieto Jr.; his parents, Gregorio A. Nieto and Alice J. Parker; his grandparents, Pablo and Onecima Nieto, Albert (Tito) and Josie Herrera; his brothers, Albert Greg Nieto,  Ernie Nieto and his wife, Sylvia Nieto; his niece, Cindy Sanders. 

He is survived by his sister, Martha Price and Husband, Bob Price; his sister, Lucy Nieto; his six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren; eight aunts and three uncles, and many, many cousins, nieces and nephews, and other loving family and friends. 

David Paul Nieto was born in Kerrville, Texas. David worked for Hart Graphics in Austin, Texas for about 10 years as a Binder and he owned David's Dive Shop for 10 years. He loved to scuba dive down in the islands of Bonaire and Cozumel with our cousin, Joseph Flores. David described diving this way, "It's like flying in another world!" "You can fly down or up and see a world that people only see in pictures. So cool!"

The Memorial Service for David Nieto has been postponed until further notice. The family would like to thank everyone for their understanding and patience during this most difficult time.  

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask

and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services. 

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
