Obituary of Zack Zamora, Sr.
The Zamora family mourns the passing of Zack Zamora, Sr. (61), who died Saturday, October 10, 2020, in Austin, TX where he spent his life.
Zack was born September 28, 1959 in Austin, TX to Elias (Lee) and Lucille Zamora. He was married to Blase Zamora in 1979, with whom he shared three children - Zack Jr., John Paul, and Brittany.
Zack, who grew up in a big family, was a loving son, brother, cousin, father, uncle and grandfather. He was a restaurateur, salesman, and avid patron of Austin restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. He liked sports, travel, and looking his best. If you knew him, you probably shared a meal or a drink, and most certainly a smile. He was a valiant protector of those he cared about, a friendly ear, and a beacon of lightheartedness appreciated by many around him. Known for his infectious laugh and vivid candor, he was a magnetic personality in any room. Zack had a large network of friends and acquaintances and could usually be found shaking hands and socializing anywhere he went. He was immensely proud of his family and prized the time spent with loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lee Sr., and his brothers Ruben and Jerry. He is survived by his mother, his brothers Lee Jr., John, John C, Herb, Paul, and Ronnie, his sisters Bernadette, Lisa, Cesily, and Jessica, his ex-wife and children, many cousins, nieces, and nephews, and eight grandchildren he loved very much.
