Obituary of Rosie Martinez

Our beloved Rosie Martinez, age 62, resident of Austin, Texas, was called to our Heavenly Father on Thursday, October 8th, 2020. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rosalio (Charlie) Perez and Theresa Ortiz; her siblings, Lydia Ortiz, Juan Montez, Jimmy Montez, and Terry Ann Perez.

She is survived by her loving sons, Raymond Vasquez and Jason Martinez (Christina); her siblings, Paul Chapa, Pete Perez, Lupe Perez, Dominga Perez, Daniel Perez, Joe Perez, and Josie Sosa.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 13th, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00p.m. at Mission Funeral Home East, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St., Austin Texas, 78702.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 13th, 2020 at Mission Funera Home East. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held the following afternoon, October 14th, 2020 at 1:00 p.m., at San Jose Catholic Church, 2435 Oak Crest Ave, Austin, Texas 78702.

Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery. 

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask

and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services. 

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
