Obituary of Jose Cortez Estrada
Nuestro Amado José Cortez Estrada, de 57 años, de Del Valle, Texas, fue llamado a nuestro Padre Celestial el miércoles 7 de octubre de 2020. Le precedió en la muerte su padre, J. Jesús Cortés.
A José le sobreviven su amada esposa, María Guadalupe Ramírez; madre, Celia Estrada; los hijos, José Eduardo Cortez, Verenice Cortez y su esposo, Michael Vela y Anthony Corte; nietos, Michael Vela Jr., Aurora Vela y Sabrina Vela; hermanos, Estela Cortez Estrada, María Cortez Estrada, Lucía Cortez Estrada, Senaida Cortez Estrada, Ronualdo Cortez Estrada y Arjimiro Cortez Estrada; así como muchos otros familiares y amigos amorosos.
El velorio comenzará a las 4:00 p.m., el viernes 9 de octubre de 2020, en Mission South Serenity Chapel, con el rezo del Santo Rosario a partir de las 7:00 p.m. La misa de entierro cristiano se llevará a cabo en la Iglesia Católica de San José, a la 1:00 p.m., el sábado 10 de octubre de 2020, con el entierro en el Cementerio de la Asunción en Austin, Texas.
La Iglesia Católica de San José requiere que todos los invitados lleguen a más tardar a las 12:15 p.m.

Our Beloved Jose Cortez Estrada, age 57, of Del Valle, Texas, was called to our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, October 7, 2020. He was preceded in death by his father, J. Jesus Cortez.
Jose is survived by his loving wife, Maria Guadalupe Ramirez; mother, Celia Estrada; children, Jose Eduardo Cortez, Verenice Cortez and husband, Michael Vela, and Anthony Corte; grandchildren, Michael Vela Jr., Aurora Vela, and Sabrina Vela; siblings, Estela Cortez Estrada, Maria Cortez Estrada, Lucia Cortez Estrada, Senaida Cortez Estrada, Ronualdo Cortez Estrada, and Arjimiro Cortez Estrada; as well as numerous other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m., Friday, October 9, 2020, at Mission South Serenity Chapel, with Recitation of the Holy Rosary starting at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at San Jose Catholic Church, at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 10, 2020, with interment following at Assumption Cemetery in Austin, Texas.
San Jose Catholic Church requires all attendees to arrive no later than 12:15p.m.
Due to the Coronavirus / COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,
capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.
Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask
and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more. If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,
it is recommended that you not attend services.
