Obituary of Adam "Donnie" Sanchez Trejo, Sr.
Our beloved Adam "Donnie" Trejo, Sr., age 73, was called to our Heavenly Father unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 30, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edmundo Trejo, Sr. and Anselma Trejo Riojas, and his brothers, Edmundo and Ernest Trejo. Donnie proudly service our country as a member of the United States Army.
Donnie was born November 3, 1946 in lively Lockhart, Texas, graduating from Lockhart High. He married Esther on October 3, 1971 and together had two children, eleven grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren at the time of his passing. Donnie was a butcher for over 30 years.
Donnie was survived by his wife of 49 years, Esther Trejo; his children, Melissa Shaw and her husband, Jeff, and Adam Trejo, Jr. and his wife, Candy; his grandchildren, Eric Ortiz, Joseph "Dejiah Delapena" Shaw, Alexis Shaw-Dean and her husband, Cody, Nicholas Shaw, Desstenie (Pablo Deleon) Trejo, Ashlenn Trejo, Adam Trejo III, Ariana Trejo, Alyssa (Riley Gilliam) Garcia, Amarissa (Cooper Messer) Garcia, and Amber Garcia; great grandchildren, Liam Ortiz, Avery Lynn Trejo, and Kensley Rose Deleon; siblings, Bertha Trejo, Josie Delgado and her husband, Johnny, Maggie Trejo, and David Trejo and his wife, Hilda; sister-in-law, Shirley Trejo, and numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. on Monday, October 5, 2020 with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at San Jose Catholic Church, 2435 Oak Crest St., Austin, Texas.
Burial with Military Honors will be held at 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd., San Antonio, Texas.

Due to the Coronavirus / COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,
capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.
Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask
and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more. If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,
it is recommended that you not attend services.
