Obituary of Esther Mae Vasquez

Our beloved Esther Mae Vasquez, age 62, was called to our Heavenly Father on Monday, September 21, 2020.  She joins her husband of 17 years, Arthur Vasquez; her parents, Manuel and Beatrice Mendizabal, and her sister, Silvia D. Mendizabal.

Esther is survived by her sons, Johnny Vasquez and Arthur Vasquez, Jr.; children of Arthur, Sr. that she loved as her own, Carlos Vasquez, Mario Vasquez, and Irene Gatt; her grandchildren, Ashley Vasquez, Ricky Guzman, Zachary Vasquez, Benjamin Vasquez, Jennifer Gatt, Tiffany Villegas, Stephanie Brazalovich, Jacki Simpson, Amy Rodriguez, Mario Vasquez, Julie Gatt, Chloe Vasquez, and Eric Vasquez; her siblings, Amanda Hill, Sandra Poland, Nancy Ralston, Maria Mendez, Jacob Mendizabal, Gustavo Mendizabal, Eziekiel Mendizabal, Julian Mendizabal, Jesse Mendizabal, and Troy Mendizabal.  In addition, she leaves numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held 5:00-9:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life beginning at 7:00 p.m., on Friday, September 25, 2020 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask

and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services. 

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
