I was so sad to hear about the passing of Carlos, we met as teachers at Govalle, he was always so knowledgeable about his profession. Our friendship extended outside of the classroom we would party and have a lot of fun with our colleagues. I was also his Chauffeur until he purchased a car, he would repay me with tamales. We both transferred and worked together at Kocurek, I was so happy to be back with my friend. At Kocurek he keep his teaching standards high
and his love for children. My Condolences to his family.

Gloria, my condolences to you and your family. We go way back to Govalle and Tillery Street. Carlos had a heart of gold, always smiling and laughing. You knew it was him by his laughter. The last time I saw him he was teaching at Govalle
Elementary. And his eyes would light up when he would talk of teaching and all his kids. He will be missed by many especially his school kids. Rest In Peace Carlos, heavens got a new angel a teacher.

I was so sad to hear of Carlos’ passing. He was truly a wonderful teacher and person. I worked with him for many yrs at Kocurek Elementary. . I loved when he would walk his class into the office to show us the activity they had learned that morning. He is now an angel in heaven. My condolences and sympathy to the Quiroz family. With all my heart. Annette Saldivar

My deepest condolences to all the family of Carlos. He taught with me for many years at Kocurek. He was one of the funniest guys I know. He loved his students and they surely loved him. I remember what a good cook he was. Whenever we had a potluck at school, his dishes were always the best. Since I ate lunch later than his grade level, he would always let me know that morning what he had made and said he would save some for me. He was such a joy and light to our campus. He will truly be missed!
