Obituary of Josefina Cruz

Our beloved Josefina Cruz, age 74, resident of Austin, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2020. 

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Eleazar Lozano; her parents, Francisco Cruz and Ramona Vela; brothers, Roy Cruz, Francisco "Moyo" Cruz Jr., and Florencio "Sunny" Cruz. 

She is survived by her children, Rosalinda Cruz Gilbert, Martin Lozano, and Anna Hernandez; her siblings, Pablo Cruz, Betty Rodriguez, and Elia Mora; eight grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and many more family and friends. 

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 21, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home -East, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St. Austin, Texas, 78702. 

Prayer Service will take place Monday, September 21, 2020, at 12:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery. 

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

Visitation is limited in capacity.

The funeral home chapel has restricted occupancy to 50% of its maximum; about 60 persons. 

Please remember to exercise social distancing as often as possible for your safety and the safety of those around you. 

Each person entering the funeral home is required to have a mask

and practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.
