Obituary of Monserrato Zuniga
Our beloved Monserrato Zuniga, age 72, resident of Austin, was born into Eternal Life on Sunday, September 13, 2020. He is reunited with his parents, Esteban and Julia Gonzalez Zuniga; his brothers, Helidorio, Alberto, Antonio, Juanito, and Cresensio Zuniga; and his sisters, Ortencia, Nazaria, Gregoria, and Apolonia Zuniga.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Feliciana Alvarez Zuniga; his children, Juan Zuniga, and his wife, Rosalia, Edward Zuniga, and his wife, Olga, and Melissa Zuniga-Pena, and her husband, Henry Pena, Jr.; 21 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren; his brothers, Domingo, Secundino, and Lorenzo Zuniga; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and many friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., on Wednesday, September 16, 2020, at Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 East Cesar Chavez Street, Austin, Texas.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held the following afternoon, Thursday, September 17, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. at San Jose Catholic Church, 2433 Oak Crest Avenue, Austin, Texas. Please note that there will be no final viewing on Thursday morning at Mission Funeral Home; all services for Thursday will originate at the church.
Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.

Due to the Coronavirus / COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,
Visitation is limited in capacity.
The funeral home chapel has restricted occupancy to 50% of its maximum; about 60 persons.
Please remember to exercise social distancing as often as possible for your safety and the safety of those around you.
Each person entering the funeral home is required to have a mask
and practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.
