Our beloved Jesus O. Hernandez, age 90, of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Thursday January 30th, 2003.Mr. Hernandez is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years; Guadalupe Z. Hernandez of Austin, Sons; David Hernandez (Beverly) of Dallas, TX., Jesse Hernandez (Jana) and Larry Hernandez both of Austin, Daughters; Janie Cortez and Lupe Hernandez both of Austin, Grandsons; David Hernandez, Jr., of Dallas, Jesse Ray Hernandez and Julius Cortez (Christina) both of Austin, Granddaughters; Debbie Leos (Michael) and Rorie Canavan both of Dallas, Texas. He is also survived by 6 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren and extended Ortega Family.
The Family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude towards Circle of Life Hospice, Austin Nursing Center, and to his daughter-in-law for the love and care received.
Recitation of holy rosary Sunday 6:30pm at the Mission Funeral Home. Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated Monday 11:00am at Dolores Catholic Church, with Rev. Paul Pudussery, C.S.C. to officiate. Rite of committal will follow in Assumption Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be his Grandsons David Hernandez, Jr., Jesse Ray Hernandez, Julius Cortez, John David Hernandez, Jr., Brian Hernandez and Michael Leos.
