Obituary of Ray Hernandez

Our beloved Ray M. Hernandez, age 78, resident of Austin, was born into Eternal Life on Thursday, August 27, 2020. He is reunited with his parents, Julian and Epifania Moreno Hernandez; and his sister, Pauline Garcia. 

Ray is survived by his children, Virginia, Reynaldo, Robert, Gloria, and Monica Hernandez; several grandchildren; his siblings, Julian Hernandez, Jr., and his wife, Annie, Irene H. Gonzales, and her husband, Johnny, and Mario Hernandez; his brother-in-law, Dan Garcia; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and many friends. 

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 7, 2020, from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 East Cesar Chavez Street, Austin, Texas.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held the following morning, Tuesday, September 8, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1206 East Ninth Street, Austin, Texas. 

Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.

Visitation is limited in capacity.

The funeral home chapel has restricted occupancy to 50% of its maximum; about 60 persons.

and practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.
