Obituary of Thelbert Henry Allison III
Our beloved Thelbert Henry Allison III, age 60, born on December 14, 1959, was called to our Heavenly Father on Saturday, August 15, 2020, in Austin, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Teresa Allison Martinez, and father, Thelbert H. Allison Jr., aunts and uncles.
He is survived by his mother Guadalupe Allison, his wife Diana Allison, his 6 children and their spouses: Tanya Allision, Henry (Erika) Allison, Andrew (Margarita) Allison, Annallysia (Jerry) Westbrook, Felix (Amy) Allison, Mariah Allison, and his 14 grand-children: Jasalyn, Lilianna, Aaliyah, Jayda, Andrew Jr., Jalissa, Henry Jr., Aiden, Alaina, Liam, Felix Jr., Graciano, Scarlett, and Aureah.
He loved to fish; his son Felix will always remember that his Dad would say, "Here Kitty Kitty Kitty" to all the fishes. He enjoyed overnight fishing and even took his kids deepsea fishing. There are so many fishing memories with him that will forever be cherished.
His BBQ was the best, he loved taking his wife a tender piece of meat to try before everything was done. His nephew Tito Zamora and many others would agree that he was "A Beast on the Grill". It's a good thing his kids learned from the best and now they can bless others with delicious, tender food!
Not only was he good at fishing and BBQing, but he was also good at pool and washers; pretty much good at everything he did. His daughters would go to him to apply phone screen protectors since he had the eye of perfection. Kids were sent to him if they had a splinter; he would get that sucker out! His eye of perfection allowed him to be one of, if not, the best window tinter in the world; he tinted windows for 30 years, so many buildings that you see in and around Austin, he tinted them!
He enjoyed making others laugh. His daughter Annallysia remembers saying "please?" he would say, "Police!? Where!?" and she would laugh. His niece, Angela Martinez remembers saying "It's your niece!", he would say "my knees? what about them?".
His family will never forget the sacrifices and efforts he made for everyone he loved. He would spend days cracking open delicious pecans; his wife Diane would get the first and biggest bag. His daughter Annallysia had the biggest Barbie house she has still yet to see. His daughter Mariah was spoiled. His sons had endless sports and fishing equipment, bikes, games, you name it. We will miss his tradition of cooking bacon cheddar melts for his baby boy Felix's birthday. He would buy ice cream from the Ice cream truck for not only his but for any other kids out there (the whole neighborhood). We will miss his generosity and the smile he would have on his face from making others smile.
He was addicted to providing, he was a loyal OfferUp and Wish customer. The women in his life now have a full jewelry box to remember him by, and his sons have fishing equipment, tools, etc. By the way, his home is still receiving orders from Wish.
He not only provided physically but also mentally. His children were taught love, taught right from wrong, and most importantly, the power of God and His word. Through his actions, they were taught what a real man looks like, the importance of family and giving, and the importance of providing. One of his friends and coworkers said "he was never once late in the 12 years I worked with him". He worked and provided through the pain until the day before his passing. He never gave up, and for that, we won't either.
We are thankful to have had his love and guidance the way he did. We will miss him dearly.
Honorary pallbearers will be his sons: Henry, Andrew, Felix, and Jerry; his nephews, Jonathan Torres, Eric, Tito, and John Romero.
