Obituary of Sisto Quiroz

Our beloved Sisto E. Quiroz Sr., age 74, resident of Austin, was called by our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, December 1, 1999. Sisto served his country in the United States Naval Service during World War II. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and the care of his family.
He is preceded in death by his wife Pauline Sanchez Quiroz; daughter, Janie Q. Ortiz; son, Sisto Quiroz Jr.; brother, Alex Quiroz Sr., and parents Mr. & Mrs. Antonio Quiroz Sr.
Survivors include: Grandchildren, Pauline Quiroz, Sisto Quiroz III, Joseph Quiroz, Anthony and Christopher Ortiz; Sisters, Gumezinda Cortez, Victoria Limon, Lupe Limon and husband Matias all of Austin; Connie Velasquez and husband Frank, Ramona Cruz and husband Ignacio and sister-in-law Patsy Quiroz of Racine, Wisconsin; brothers, Tony Quiroz, Jr. and wife Isabel, Bob Quiroz of Austin, Paul Quiroz and wife Frances of Racine, Wisconsin, and nephew Louis Sanchez of Austin and 5 Great-Grandchildren.
Recitation of rosary Friday, December 3, 1999, 7:30pm at the Mission Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, December 4, 1999,12 noon at San Jose Catholic Church. Reverend George Joseph will officiate. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Henry Quiroz, Danny Villegas, Roland Limon, Joseph Quiroz, Anthony Ortiz ,and Nat Limon.
Honorary pallbearers are Danny Quiroz, Raymond Quiroz, Eddie Cruz, and Benny Velasquez.
