Medrano, age 71, resident of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Thursday January 9, 2003.Survivors include: Wife; Rebecca Medrano, Daughters; Rose Morales, Gloria Castro, Rachel Olivas, Amelia Medrano, Ida Rangel and Norma Amaya, Sons; Luis Medrano, Gilbert Medrano, Jr., and Frank Medrano all of Austin, Sisters; Olga Mendez of Austin, Rosa Fuentes, Eva Angelina Medrano both of Mexico, Yolanda Perez of Houston, TX., Norma Perez of Corpus Christi, TX., Brothers; Ernesto Medrano of Dallas, TX., Armando Medrano, Raul Medrano both of Mexico, Ricardo Medrano of Houston and Sergio Medrano of Corpus Christi, TX.. 22 Grandchildren and 7 Great-Grandchildren survive him. Recitation of rosary Sunday 7:00pm at the Mission Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday 1:00pm at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. J.C. Cain, O.M.I. to officiate. Committal services to follow at Assumption Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers Gilbert Joe Luna, Luis Michael Medrano, Javier Aurelio Castro, Mauricio Duron, Jr., Erik Rangel, Alvaro Rangel, Arturo Rangel and Alonso Rangel. Honorary pallbearers are Frank Medrano, Jonathan Medrano, Pedro Duron and Francisco Luna.
