Obituary of Lisa Ortiz Jimenez

Our beloved Lisa Ortiz Jimenez, age 54, was called to our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, July 28, 2020.  She was preceded in death by her father Tito Mendoza Ortiz, Sr.

Lisa is survived by her mother, Eslinda Rodriguez Moraida; her children, Monica Jaramillo and her husband, Genaro, Rosalinda Estrada and her husband, Louis, and Cresensio Herrera, Jr.; her grandchildren, Jose Alberto Jaramillo, Stephanie Ann Jaramillo, Alexandra Marie Jaramillo, Rudy Jacob Fernandez, Christopher Anthony Herrera, Karina Sophia Jaramillo, Makayla Aliyah Herrera; her partner, Nicholas Garcia Puente; her siblings, Rosie Arvizu and her husband, Aurelio, Tito Ortiz, Jr., Lueann Roman, and George Rodriguez; the father of her children, Cresensio Herrera, Sr.; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Honored pallbearers will be Michael Cain Garcia, Mark Anthony Ortiz, Joe Natal, Paul Anthony Rodriguez, John Anthony Ortiz, Rudy Jacob Fernandez, Jose Alberto Jaramillo, and Cresensio Herrera, Jr.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with Rosary at 6:30 and a Prayer Service following, on Friday, August 7, 2020 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.  

A Chapel Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2020 also at Mission Funeral Home - South Side.  Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask

and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services. 

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
