Obituary of Julian Rene Murillo

Our treasured and beloved Julian "JuJu" Rene Murillo, age 15, resident of Austin, was unexpectedly called home to our Heavenly Father on Friday, July 24, 2020. He is reunited with his great-great-grandmother, Lilia Castro Valdez; his great-grandmother, San Juanita "Janie " Ybarra; his great-grandfather, Jesus Medrano; his great aunt, Diana Valdez; great uncle, Jesse Medrano; and cousin Angelica Rae Ruiz. On Monday, July 27, 2020, his great-great-grandfather, Apolonio Valdez, joined him in the Kingdom. 

Julian leaves behind his parents, Melody Munoz and Sunny Murillo; his siblings, Juliana Janie Murillo and Jonathan Rene Murillo; his half-siblings, Sunny "Sunny Boy" Murillo, Jr., and Marissa Morell; his nephew, Sunny Murillo III; his grandparents, Sylvia Valdez and Fabian Munoz, Jr., Guadalupe "Lupe" Murillo, Yolanda Ruiz, and Wenceslao Ruiz; his uncles and aunts, Fabian Munoz III, Paul Munoz, Augustine Murillo, Jaime Ruiz, Jorge Ruiz, Angel Ruiz, Joe Ruiz, Maria Marquez, Guadalupe Murillo, Jr., Paul Murillo, and Lorie Murillo Farias; his first love, Emeree Mendez;  numerous family members, and many friends whom will all miss him dearly. 

Due to the sudden nature of Julian's passing, his family has set up a GoFundMe fundraiser; and will be hosting a $10 Taco Plate Benefit on Wednesday, July 29, 2020, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at 1100 E. 10th Street; we hope to see you there! Your donation and participation is greatly appreciated. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2020, from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., with a Celebration of Life taking place at 7:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 East Cesar Chavez Street, Austin, Texas. 

The following morning, Friday, August 7, 2020, Mission Funeral Home will once again host Julian's family and friends for a Funeral Service beginning at 11:00 a.m... 

Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery. 

 

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

Visitation is limited in capacity.

The funeral home chapel has restricted occupancy to 50% of its maximum; about 60 persons. 

Please remember to exercise social distancing as often as possible for your safety and the safety of those around you. 

Each person entering the funeral home is required to have a mask

and practice social distancing of 6 feet or more. 

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
