Obituary of Mary Luisa Moreno

Our Beloved Mary Luisa Moreno, age 86, of Austin, Texas, was called by our Heavenly Father on Monday, July 27, 2020.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Joe Pio Moreno; her children, Aurora “Dora” Moreno, Janie Ortegon, and Johnny Moreno; grandson, Zachary Moreno; daughter-in-law, Berna Moreno; parents, Juan A. Saucedo and Luisa Garcia Saucedo, and siblings, Frances Cuevas, Pete Saucedo, and Janie Nava.

Mary is survived by her children, Dolores Moreno, Joe Moreno, Jr. and his wife, Terry, Mary Moreno and her husband, Ben, Irene Saraceno, Alice Moreno, Helen Moreno, Peter Moreno, Paul Moreno and his wife, Maria, and Annie Morales; her sister, Guadalupe "Lupe" Acosta and her husband, Felix, Sr., and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Honored pallbearers will be Barney Joseph Sifuentes, Joey Moreno III, Samuel Saraceno, Gilbert Martinez, Andrew Ortegon, Mark Moreno, Eric Coronado, John Cris Moreno, Adrianna Moreno, Monica Morales, and Megan Moreno.

Special thank you to granddaughters, Adrianna Moreno, and Valerie Moreno, and Peter Tan for taking care of our dear Mom in her final days with us. 

Visitation will be held from 2:00–9:00 p.m. with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 2, 2020 at Mission Funeral Home – South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas. 

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 3, 2020 at Dolores Catholic Church, 1111 Montopolis Dr., Austin, Texas. Interment will follow at Capital Parks Cemetery, 14501 IH 35 N, Pflugerville, Texas. 

Rosary will be live-streamed at Mission Funeral Home - South Side on Facebook to allow participation by those who can not be present.  We advise those who want to participate via live-stream to log on to Facebook prior to the services to insure you know how to log on. You must have your own Facebook Page as well.  There is no additional staff on duty at the time of the service to help with logging on and getting connected.

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask

and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services. 

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
