Obituary of Virginia Briones White

On Tuesday, July 21, 2020, Virginia Briones White, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, and sister, passed away at age 67. Virginia was born on April 27, 1953, in Austin, TX to John U. Briones and Felipa (Segura) Guerrero.

Virginia served in the US Air force January 1974- September 1978. She married Charles White. They raised and a daughter, Felipa Briones and two sons Charles and Robert White. Virginia had a passion for life. She loved being with her family and friends. She was also an avid music lover and enjoyed old movies. She was known for her quick wit, and her kind and compassionate spirit.

Virginia is survived by her husband, Charles C. White; her children, Felipa Briones, Charlie White and his wife Stephanie, and Robert White; her precious grandchildren, Christopher O'Neal, Demetrius O'Neal, Jaden Washington, Gene Wright, Evelyn White, and Isaac Buie; three treasured great-grandchildren; Goddaughter Deliahla Gonzalez and her son Nathaniel Cuellar; her mother Felipa and her spouse Jose Guerrero; her brothers, John Briones and Lawrence Briones; her sisters, Helen Anderson and Margaret Briones; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and many friends.

Visitation will be on Thursday, August 13, 2020, from 5:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m., with a Prayer Service beginning at 6:30 p.m.,  at Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 East Cesar Chavez Street, Austin, Texas.

A committal service will be held the following afternoon, Friday, August 14, 2020, at 1:15 p.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio. 

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

Visitation is limited in capacity.

The funeral home chapel has restricted occupancy to 50% of its maximum; about 60 persons. 

Please remember to exercise social distancing as often as possible for your safety and the safety of those around you. 

Each person entering the funeral home is required to have a mask

and practice social distancing of 6 feet or more. 

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
