We admire our Tia’s strength as she was the last of my grandmother Julia’s nine siblings. Yes, she outlived them all... As our elders pass on my heart yearns for the days when our family would gather together. My grandma Tacha loved to cook and invite her siblings over to join her large family as we all celebrated. Sweet, sweet memories...
Growing up and through adulthood we’d drive down Canterbury Street and see Tia Maria & Tio Pete sitting one the porch chill’n... I’m sure most of you reading this will have this exact same memory... We’d honk and wave, yelling out of the car window, “Hi Tio, hi Tia!” They’d smile and wave back every time! They were the cutest couple, married 63 years... Those were the good old days in east Austin.
Tia was loving and sweet to us. I enjoyed visiting with her and Tio Pete at our family reunions. She always had a smile on her face and a kind word for everyone. She was a Godly woman. I especially admired her strength and beautiful, loving personality.
Tia Maria and Tio Pete raised six beautiful children and they left an amazing legacy. We love our cousins Teresa, Dora, Pete, Isabel, Mary, Jesse and their families. On behalf of my mother and father and my siblings we extend our sincere condolences, thoughts and prayers. As you know, we all loved your Momma so much and she will be missed by so many...
May you Rest In Peace our sweet Tia Maria until we meet again... Isabel Vallejo, Josie, Becki, Tim & Families

I remember visiting Isabels house when we were in high school. Mrs.Sanchez was so nice with a sweet smile ready to feed us with snacks. Isabel was my high school buddy. And Mary was my sister Carol's buddy. We have all grown up together. And been through so many family funerals. Mrs. Sanchez had a hell of a homecoming with Mr. Sanchez and so many family members welcoming her with open arms.
My sincerest sympathies to Theresa, Dora, Pete and Jesse.
May all your memories sustain you now and forever.
God bless!!
