Obituary of Julian Cantu Jr.
Our Beloved Julian Cantu Jr., age 79, of Austin, Texas, was called by our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, July 8, 2020.
He was preceded in death by his parents Julian and Eva Cantu Sr. and siblings: Evangelina, Miguel, Arturo, Alfred, Adam, and Virginia.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Rosita Monreal Cantu; children: Julian Cantu III, Mark Cantu and his wife Margaret, and Katharine Cantu Winkelbauer and her husband Richard; grandchildren: Adrian Neenan and his wife Nicole, Julie Cantu Lugo and her husband Jason, Jamie Cantu, Carla Quintero, Julian Michael Cantu, Krystal Cantu Castillo and her husband Sonny, Lori Cantu Rodriguez and her husband Don, Melissa Cantu Limon and her husband Joshua, Pete Pascone, Jr., Alysia Eaton Graham and her husband William, and Christian Eaton; Great Grandchildren: Cambra Neenan, Cruz Neenan, Albert Valencia, Austin Valencia, Jaxon Lugo, Brynn Saucedo, Micah Camacho, Angelo Castillo, Meliah Garza, and Kevin Limon; brothers, Arnold Cantu and Arthur Cantu,Sr.; sisters: Leonora Ruiz, Lena C. Ybarra, and Emaline Gil and her husband Ron; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.
The family would like to thank Dr. Benjamin Smith for Julian's long-term care and his amazing nurse Amy, and all of the doctors and nurses at Baylor Scott & White Hospital - Round Rock, for their exceptional care and communication with the family during Julian's hospital stay. They would also like to thank the Hospice Compassus nurses and nurses aid who assisted them at home with caring for Julian so he could spend his last days with family by his side. The family is so grateful for the outpouring of calls, messages and food received from other family members and friends. Please continue to pray for the family and keep them in your thoughts while they continue to heal.
