I remember how much fun it was growing up with my brother David. Him and I never had a fight and we never argued! As we were only one year apart, we basically grew up from the time we were born to the time I joined the Army. Wow, what a wonderful trip! Beautiful memories! Edward Jr.

My condolences to your family. I remember David & Edward teasing me and Christina about our Chad & Jeremy concert attendance as they drove us to school.They were typical older brothers putting up with their sister's friend.

Connie, our deepest condolences during this difficult time. David was an amazing man who was loved by us all. His passing is felt deeply by our whole family. David was a big part of our lives. Growing up, We remember all the laughter and fun times he had with our dad and uncles. Our family gatherings with him were so much fun. Throughout our entire life we remember mom always saying to you that David was “ un angel del cielo.” He was such a generous good hearted person. We will never forget how he would just stop by our house on Tillery st. and bring the girls items he thought they would like from the Sears clearance rack. Conversations with him were so genuine and we sure will miss him. Mark, Carrie, Paula and Christina, remember those wonderful memories for they will lift you up in your most lowest of times. In the early 90's after Bergstrom AFB was closed, I took a supervisor position with the City of Austin running its Street Cleaning operations. I was introduced to my second in command and was truly blessed. David S. Gonzales was my guardian angel through a rough initiation time. David taught me everything he knew about his beloved Austin. David was also a loyal Cowboys fan to the point he had his personal van painted silver and blue complete with the Star and wore a super bowl championship ring. He was always there for folks and watched my "Six" without hesitation. David was our "Big Papa" and he lived up to it everyday with all who new him. Big Papa, I will miss you greatly and thank you to GOD for sharing you with all of us. Adios Hermano...Go COWBOYS ❤️
