Obituary of Elizabeth Lopez Nuñez

Our Beloved Elizabeth Lopez Nuñez, age 54, of Austin, Texas, was called by our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, July 1, 2020.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Brigado Lopez and Mary Carmen Jimenez Lopez; son, Christopher Lopez; and brother Isidro Lopez.

She is survived by her children: Jennifer Lopez, Theresa Perez (Hugo), Jessica Perez (Danny), Jesse Morones (Victoria), and Johnny Morones (Rosie); siblings: Josie Alvizo, Vera (Urbano) Montelongo, Debra Barrera, and Jimmy (Sandra) Lopez; 22 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19

Capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more. If you are ill or are concerned about the virus, it is recommended that you not attend services. 

Please be advised that ALL guests must wear some form of face covering at all times. In addition, guests are NOT permitted to congregate in the lobby, entry, or parking lot of the Funeral Home at any time.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2020 at Mission Funeral Home – South Side. (Limit 120 guests. Masks are required in the Funeral Home at all times)

Rosary will be streamed on Mission Funeral Home – South Side Facebook Live.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00a.m. on Friday, July 10, 2020 at Cristo Rey Catholic Church. (Limit 60 Guests / Mask / Gloves Required)

Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery. (Limit 60 guests / Mask Required)
