Obituary of Frances A. Loera

Our beloved Frances A. Loera, age 80, was called to our Heavenly Father on Friday, June 26, 2020.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Domingo and Pauline Arredondo and her sister, Betty Jo Nuñez.

Frances is survived by her loving children, Judy D'Allegro (Mark Cruz), Linda Arriaga (Jerry Reyes), Brenda Mojica and her husband, Richard, Denise Loera (Harvey Luna), Albert Loera (Dedra Molina), and Eva Rosalez; her sisters, Olga Alvarez and her husband, Sam, and Stella Arredondo; her step-father Cipriano M. Arredondo; 22 grandchildren and 47 great grandchildren. In Addition, Frances is survived by nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.  Rosary will be live streamed through Facebook Live Mission-South Side to allow participation by those who can not attend.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at San Jose Catholic Church, 2435 Oak Crest Ave., Austin, Texas. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH 35 Feeder Rd., Austin, Texas.

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask

and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.   

San Jose Catholic Church requires pre-screening prior to entering the sanctuary.  Please arrive 30 minutes prior to Mass in order to be pre-screened and seated.  Masks are required at the church

If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services.
