Our beloved Maria V. Govea, age 83, resident of Porter, Texas was called by our Heavenly Father on Thursday November 14, 2002.Survivors include: One brother; Santiago Venegas of Edinburg, Texas., Two Step-sons; Simon Govea Jr. and Fermine Govea of Round Rock, Texas. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Recitation of rosary Sunday, 7:00 P.M. at the Mission Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday November 18, 2002 at 1:00 P.M. at Santa Barbara Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery.
