Obituary of Jose S. Romero

Our Jose Samuel Romero, age 63, was called to our Heavenly Father on Friday, June 5, 2020.

He was born in San Miguel, El Salvador on February 17, 1957. Where he lived, laughed and loved. But to make a better future he and his wife and daughters traveled the 3119 miles north from El Salvador to the United States in search of new beginning.  He made his home in Los Angeles, California.  Where he continued to pour his heart and soul into every endeavor that he sought. The countless lessons he taught to the hearts he touched continued when he moved to Texas in 2005.  Here, in this place, he would call this Home. 

He was preceded in death by his father Vincente Rodriguez. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 45 years, Olga A. Romero; daughters: Olga Lorena Romero (Mark Alonzo), Blanca Romero and Estella Romero; his mother, Maria Elba Rodriguez; grandchildren: Kristal Hernandez, Anthony Romero, Kasey Hernandez, Jacob Aviles, and Khali Alonzo; 3 sisters; 1 brother; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Public Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Mission Funeral Home – South Side located at 6204 South First Street.
