Obituary of Lydia Chavez

Our beloved Lydia Chavez, age 66, was called to our Heavenly Father on Saturday, May 2, 2020.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel P. Gomez and Raquel Ramirez Gomez.

Lydia is survived by her children, Ruth Garcia, Isaac Garcia, Khris Rodriguez and her husband, Ricardo, Adril Guerra and his wife, Teresa, and Adrian Guerra and his wife, Karla; her brothers, Benjamin Gomez and his wife, Anita, and Danny Gomez; her sisters, Neomi Ramirez and her husband, Frank, Martha Kehoe and her husband, Joe, Amelia Macias and her husband, Luis, and Ruth Maldonado; 17 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren, and many other nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Private visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 7, 2020 at Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St., Austin, Texas.  Services will be officiated by Lydia's brother, Pastor Benjamin Gomez.

A Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 8, 2020 also at the funeral home.  Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, Austin, Texas.

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

Public services will NOT be held.

If you will be attending, masks are required.  You only need where them in situations where social distancing is not an option so please bring a mask in case you need it.
