Obituary of Cesar Vargas Ruiz

Our beloved Cesar Vargas Ruiz, age 69, was called to our Heavenly Father on Friday, April 17, 2020.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfredo Ruiz Leal and Blanca Alicia Vargas de Ruiz.

Cesar is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Elizabeth Figueroa Ruiz; his children, Rene Martinez and his wife, Ann Marie; Lydia Diaz and her husband, Edward; Cesar Ruiz and his wife, Adriana, and Javier Ruiz; his grandchildren, Rene Martinez, Jr., Joe Christopher Martinez, Marissa Renee Martinez, Kamilla Renee Martinez, Christian Alexandar Diaz, Jordon Edward Diaz, Brandon Jae Diaz, Alyssa Isabel Ruiz, Cesar Ignacio Ruiz, and Benjamin Maximiano Ruiz; his great grandchildren, Isiah Martinez, Lori Martinez, Luis Martinez, Jayden Rene Valdez, Bryan Zayne Rodriguez, Olivia Amira Diaz, and Julian Ezra Diaz; his brothers, Alfredo Oscar Ruiz and his wife, Blanca; Jose Alberto Ruiz and his wife, Alma; Sergio Ruiz and his wife, Belinda, and his sisters, Blanca Patricia Ramirez and her husband, Andres, and Edith Celeste Gomez and her husband, Sergio, and numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Private Visitation will be held on Monday, April 20, 2020 with private Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.  Recitation of Holy Rosary will be lived streamed via Facebook Live (Mission Funeral Home - South Side).

Private Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at Sta. Julia Catholic Church, Tillery & Lyon St., Austin, Texas.  Entombment will follow at Onion Creek Cemetery, 11610 Chapel Ln., Austin, Texas.

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

Public services will NOT be held.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 20, 2020.
