Obituary of Manuel “Meme” Montalvo, Jr.
Our beloved Manuel Montalvo, Jr., age 53, was called to our Heavenly Father on March 20, 2020. He was preceded in death by his father, Manuel Montalvo, Sr.
Manuel is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Rosalinda Espinosa-Montalvo; his daughters, Deanna Espinosa (Anthony Robles), Analissia Montalvo (Juan Robledo), and Marianna Montalvo; his beautiful grandson, Vincent Robledo; his mother, AnaMaria Montalvo; brothers, Xavier Montalvo (Cher), and Carlos Montalvo (Heather Geib); mother-in-law, Dominga J. Espinosa; brothers-in-law, Jerry Espinosa, Martin Espinosa (Mamie); sister-in-law, Irma Espinosa; and numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.
Lie in State, following City Mandate, will be from 1:00-3:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 25, 2020, Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas. Private Family Rosary will begin at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 2020, Mission Funeral Home - South Side.
Private Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 26, 2020, St. Paul Catholic Church, 10000 David Moore Dr., Austin, Texas. Private Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 IH 35S. Feeder Rd., Austin, Texas.
Coronavirus COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin
Due to the latest Coronavirus Restrictions, implemented on March 17, 2020 by the City of Austin and Travis County, visitation will be limited to 10 people in the chapel at all times. You may come visit Mr. Montalvo "Meme" any time from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at Mission Funeral Home – South Side.
Mr. Montalvo's family will be holding a Private Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2020. Please search for Mission Funeral Home - South Side on your Facebook page or click on this link Mission Funeral Home South Side Facebook Live to join.
Once restrictions are lifted for Community Gatherings, The Montalvo Family will host a Celebration of Life Memorial Service and Reception. Those details will be announced at a later date.
