Obituary of Ana Maria Gonzales Moreno
Our Beloved Anacleta “Ana” Maria Gonzales Moreno, age 98, of Austin, Texas, was called Home on Tuesday, March 10, 2020.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years, Blas Castillo; children: Catalino Castillo, Jose Refugio Castillo, Jose Amadeo Castillo and Teresa Castillo Gonzalez; parents, Irineo Gonzales and Macedonia Moreno; brothers: Pifanio Gonzales, Lorenzo Gonzales, and Angel Gonzales; and sisters: Maria del Refugio Gonzales, Hilaria Gonzales, Rosa Gonzales, and Elena Gonzales.
Ana is survived by her children: Maria Castillo, Austreberto “Roberto” Castillo Gonzalez, Paula Castillo Aparicio, Andres Castillo, Amelia Castillo, Benito Castillo, Juila Castillo Cantu, Fernando Castillo, and JB Castillo; her sister, Severiana Gonzales Villa; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other loving family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 16, 2020 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 South First Street; Austin, Texas 78745. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at Mission Funeral Home – South. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at San Jose Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
Coronavirus Restrictions from the City of Austin
Saturday, March 14, 2020 Mayor Steve Adler issued an order prohibiting events and other community gatherings of more than 250 people. People who are at the highest risk from the disease, such as elderly people and people with pre-existing conditions, are urged not to attend or avoid gatherings with 10 people or more.
