Obituary of Diana C. Valdez

Our beloved Diana C. Valdez, age 59, resident of Austin, was born into Eternal Life on Wednesday, March 4, 2020. She is reunited with her mother, Lilia Castro Valdez; and her sister, San Juanita Ybarra. 

Diana is survived by her husband, Michael Espinoza; her children, Lilia Chairez Rios, and her husband, James, and David Mendez, and his wife, Denise; her precious grandchildren, Adrian Acosta, Marcus Acosta, Nathan Acosta, Jacian Rios, Cristian Rios, Jonah Lugo, Kacey Mendez, and Diego Mendez; her treasured great-granddaughter, Lilia Rae Acosta; her father, Apolonio Valdez; her brothers, Paul Valdez, Armando Valdez, Ismael Valdez, Francisco Valdez, and Marcos Valdez; her sister, Alicia Valdez; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and many friends. 

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., on Monday, March 9, 2020, at Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 East Cesar Chavez Street, Austin, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will take place the following morning, Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Julia Catholic Church, 900 Tillery Street, Austin, Texas. 

Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
