Obituary of Janie Martinez

Our beloved Janie Martinez, age 80, was called to our Heavenly Father on Sunday, January 26, 2020.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Rudolf "Rudy" Martinez; her parents, John and Concepcion Davila, her sister, Connie Peña, and her brother-in-law, Joe Gonzalez.

Janie is survived by her loving children, Shirley Ojeda and her husband, Frank, Rudy Martinez and his wife, Janie, Daniel "Danny" Martinez, Richard Martinez, Deborah Martinez, Steven Martinez, and Crystal Tenorio and her husband, John Robert; her brothers, John Davila, Jr. and his wife, Janie, Roy Davila and his wife, Aisha, and David Davila and his wife, Rosalie; his sister, Rosie Gonzalez.

Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m., with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m.. on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12:00 p.m., Friday, January 31, 2020 at San Jose Catholic Church, 2435 Oak Crest, Austin, Texas.  Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
