Obituary of Jose Luis Velazquez

Our beloved Jose Luis Velazquez, age 49, was called to our Heavenly Father on Sunday, January 19, 2020.  Jose Luis tragically lost his life with his longtime girlfriend, Joanne Menchaca.

Jose Luis is survived by his loving daughters, Tracey (Jesse Gutierrez) Velazquez, Leticia (Juan Mireles) Velazquez, Elitha (Dejon Sykes) Velazquez, and Olivia Velazquez; his parents, Ernestina Hernandez-Casillas and Jose Luis Velazquez; his precious grandchildren, Jesse Gutierrez, Jr., Jazlynn Gutierrez, Mateo Mireles, and Ariella Mireles; his sister, Sandra Sanchez; brother, Jose Juan Sanchez; nieces and nephew, Destiny Sanchez, Precious Sanchez, Myangel Sanchez, and Jonah Noel Sanchez, and many other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will begin at 3:00 with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 27, 2020 at Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St., Austin, Texas.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, corner of Robert T. Martinez and 2nd St., Austin, Texas.  Interment will follow Mass at Assumption Cemetery, Austin, Texas.
