Obituary of Raymond Cantu Benavides, Sr.

Our beloved Raymond Cantu Benavides, Sr., was called to our Heavenly Father on Friday, December 6, 2019.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Christobal Benavides, Sr, and Audelia Cantu Benavides; his brothers, Roy Benavides, Joe Benavides, and Christobal Benavides, and his sister, Patsy Ann Benavides.

Raymond is survived by his wife, Carolina G. Benavides; his sons Timujun "Timo" Benavides and his wife, Shana, and Raymond Benavides, Jr. and his wife, Kristina; his grandchildren, Casandra Benavides, Arissa De Los Santos, Esmeralda De Los Santos, Jonathon Cervantes, and great grandchildren, Zariah Andrews and Zyndaya Andrews; his brothers, Armando Benavides and his wife, Esther, Jesse Benavides, Gilbert Benavides, and Jimmy Benavides and his wife, Yolanda; his sisters, Alice Gonzalez and her husband, Johnny, Mary Bernal and her husband, Joe, and Annie Arellano and her husband, Manuel, and many loving nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Honored Pallbearers will be Jonathon Cervantes, Joe Bernal, Jacob Valadez, Steven Garcia, Mario Garcia, Thomas Andrews, Will Glover, and Bill Glover.

Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m., with a Prayer Service beginning at 7:00 p.m. on December 11, 2019 at Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St., Austin, Texas.

A Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 a.m., on December 12, 2019 also at the funeral home.  Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH35, Austin, Texas.
