Obituary of Emilio Nañes Villanueva

Our beloved Emilio N. Villanueva, age 83, resident of Austin, was called to our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, December 4, 2019.  He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Lazaro and Julia Villanueva; his four sisters, Frances Cruz, Oralia Contreras, Lucy Villanueva, and Reyes Villanueva, and his brother, Robert Villanueva.  Mr. Villanueva proudly served our nation as a member of the U.S. Army.

Emilio is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Sandy Segura Villanueva; his son, Derek Villanueva; granddaughters, Ashley Villanueva and Vanessa Villanueva and her husband, Alec Barrera; his great granddaughter, Araceli Barrera; his sister, Felipa Espinoza and her husband, Ben; his brothers, Larry Villanueva and his wife, Lupe, and Raymond Villanueva and his wife, Mary; sister-in-law, Connie Villanueva and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.

Honored Pallbearers will be, Tito Rutt, Anthony Segura, Miguel Gonzales, Adrian Villanueva, Eddie Espinoza, Oscar Villanueva, Alec Barrera, and Raymond Segura, Jr., Dion Espinoza, and Jerry Espinoza.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Mission Funeral Home, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 13, 2019 at San Jose Catholic Church, 2435 Oak Crest Ave., Austin, Texas.  Burial with Military Honors will follow Mass at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH 35, Austin, Texas.
