I think I was about 12 when I started spending my summers in Austin with my cousins. I couldn't wait for the school year to end so that I could pack my bags. I would ping pong back and forth between Renee's, Yolanda's and Rosie's houses.
Together with both boy cousins, they always got a kick of how my small Sharyland backasswards "hick town", dirt roads self didn't belong there. I loved spending time with them! Austin was always so advanced from the trailing behind Valley. I remember watching MTV for the first time and being mind blown with the music videos.
Probably at 13, my older cousin Renee (16 then) and already into makeup and hair couldn't take it anymore and tweezed my Frida unibrow.
I was fashionable!
I have her to remember and thank when I get (still) compliments on my perfectly arched eyebrows.
Love you Renee. Hugs to Aunt Stella.
Until we see each other again.☺️
From your cousin and still from the valley,
Brenda

My favorite memory of Renee, was her beauty and love of family, especially during Easter celebration at Garrison park, she was always cheerful, being a part of such a big family we rarely spent much time together, though always in are hearts, we are so sad for your loss, Renee will be truly missed by all our families.
God bless you during this difficult time, and know that God is faithful and He has Victory over death, therefore celebrate her Life with
Jesus Christ.

My condolences to Keith and Renee's family, friends and loved ones. Renee was always sweet and kind to me and always had a bright smile on her face which seemed to light up the space around her and anyone near her. She is already missed by all of us but we will never forget her. Renee is at peace and now will be forever in our hearts.
Keith, we all loved Renee and we love you too. Please don't hesitate to ask for anything you may need. Your Austin family is keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.
