Our beloved Eusebio ?Joe? Rodriguez, resident of Austin, born December 16, 1920 passed away May 22, 2002 at the age of 81 years.Joe was a wonderful Husband, Father, Son and Brother. He never met anyone he couldn?t befriend and was always ready with at least one joke for anyone that would listen. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him and even more so by those of us who love him. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 44 years Julia Rodriguez, and is survived by his Daughter; Bertie Castro, Son; John Rodriguez, present Wife; Cynthia Rodriguez, Step-Daughter; Melissa Bedford, Step-Son; Michael Ayers, Grandchildren; Rene Castro, Michael Castro, Yvonne Castro, Cheryl Castro, Jadea Bedford. Great-Grandchild; Cyra Castro and many more extended family members and friends. Surviving siblings; Jose Rodriguez, Pauline Casarez, Andrea Rodriguez and Ricardo Rodriguez. Joe Served in the U.S. Navy during WWII aboard the U.S.S. Lycoming as a Radioman 2nd Class and always spoke highly of the honor of having served his country. The family will receive friends at Mission Funeral Home from 12:00pm to 5:00pm Sunday May 26, 2002. Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Monday at 7:00pm at the Mission Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday May 28, 2002 at 1:00pm at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. J.C. Cain, O.M.I. officiating. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Rene Castro, Michael Castro, Steve Ramsey, Patricio Casarez, Michael Ayers and Shawn Bedford. A special thanks to former Son-in-Law Louis B. Castro who provided the Class A Naval Uniform for our father to wear.
