Basilia G. Montoya, our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great and Great-Grandmother went peacefully to her eternal rest to be with our Heavenly Father on Friday May 17, 2002 at the age of 79.She was born on November 26, 1922 in Bartlett, Texas, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Joe Montoya, Sons Johnny Gonzales of Austin, Dionicio Gonzales of Elroy, a Daughter Maria Amelia Gonzales of Austin. Survivors include: Sons; Faustino Gonzales and wife Marie of Austin, Emiliano Gonzales of Del Valle, Gilbert Gonzales and wife Rosario of Del Valle, David Gonzales and wife Dee of Austin, Pedro Gonzales and wife Adela of Elroy, Mario Gonzales of Austin, Daughter Paula Duran of Kyle, TX., Sister; Mariana Gonzales of Austin, 2 Brothers; Andres Garcia of Dallas, TX. and Jesse Alvarado of Austin, Daughters-in-law Maria Gonzales of Austin, Carole Gonzales of Elroy. She is also survived by 35 Grandchildren, 38 Great-Grandchildren and 9 Great-Great-Grandchildren and by numerous nieces and nephews. The family of Mrs. Montoya wishes to express a special thank you to Emily Torres. Recitation of rosary Monday 7:30pm at the Mission Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday 1:00pm at St. Julia Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are her Grandsons Faustino Gonzales, Jr., Roland Duran, Dominic Gonzales, Adam Gonzales, Christopher Gonzales and Rene Gonzales. Honorary pallbearers are John Daniel Gonzales, Pedro Gonzales, Jr. and Ray Castro.
