Obituary of Bernarda Olvera

Our Beloved Bernarda Olvera, age 85, of Austin, Texas, was called by our Heavenly Father on Thursday, August 15, 2019.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 38 years Franciso Olvera; her son, Francisco Javier Olvera; parents, Jesus Guerrero and Isabel Zambrano; and siblings: Jose Guerrero, Nemecia Medina, Ester Mancha, Tomasa Santos, and Elojia Juarez.

She is survived by her children: Sylvia (Jose Cruz) Vallejo, Rosa (Victor) Abrego, Ma. Guadalupe Olvera, and Jose Gerardo (Elia Rodriguez) Olvera; sisters, Francisca Salinas and Paula Lopez; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. with Recitation of the Holy Rosary to begin at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 19, 2019 at Mission Funeral Home – South Side. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.

Ella fue precedida en la muerte por su amado esposo que compartio 38 años con ella en matrimonio, Francisco Olvera; su hijo, Fracisco Javier Olvera; sus padres, Jesus Guerrero y Isabel Zambrano; y sus hermanos, Jose Guerrero, Nemecia Medina, ester Mancha, Tomasa Santos, y Elojia Juarez. 

A Bernarda le sobrevive sus hijos, Sylvia (Jose Cruz) Vallejo, Rosa (Victor) Abrego, Ma. Guadalupe Olvera, y Jose Gerardo (Elia Rodriguez) Olvera; hermanas, Fracisca Salinas y Paula Lopez; numerosos nietos y bisnietos, tambien como otros amorosos familiares y amigos. 

El Velorio sera de 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., con Recitacion del Santo Rosario comensando a las 7:00 p.m., el lunes, 19 de agosto, 2019 en Mission Funeral Home - South Side. La Santa Misa del Sepulcro Cristiano seria a las 11:00 a.m. el martes, 20 de agosto, 2019 en la Iglesia Catolica de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe. El entierro seguira en Assumption Cemetery.
