Obituary of Francisco Mercado

Our Beloved Francisco Mercado, age 54, of Austin, Texas, was called by our Heavenly Father on Friday, August 9, 2019.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jesus Mercado and Santos Lomeli and his maternal grandfather, Victoriano Vargas.

He is survived by his children: Omar Mercado, Lillian Mercado, and Isaac Mercado; his parents, Francisco Mercado and Maria A. Vargas; grandsons, Vince and Lukas Mercado; siblings: Isabel Benitez, Patricia Mercado, Claudia Mercado-Gonzalez, and Alexandra De Luna; maternal grandmother, Emerenciana Cervantes Vargas; the mother of his children, Rafaela Medina; as well as numerous other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 9:00 p.m. with Recitation of the Holy Rosary to begin at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at Mission Funeral Home – South Side.

This will conclude services.
