Our beloved Felipa Cantu Hernandez, age 91, resident of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Sunday May 12, 2002. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Pedro Hernandez of 66 years in 1995.Mrs. Hernandez was a devoted wife and loving Mother, kind and generous grandmother and great-grandmother, she enjoyed gardening, mostly her roses, sewing, cooking, but most of all she enjoyed her family. Survivors include: 3 Daughters; Amelia Sifuentes and husband Simon of Dalhart, TX., Olivia Guerrero and husband Henry, and Lou Ann Lucas both of Austin, Sons; Conrad Hernandez and Reyes Hernandez and wife Anita both of Austin, one Sister; Lupita Montemayor of Longview, Texas. She is also survived by a host of Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren and Great-Great-Grandchildren. Recitation of rosary was held on Monday at 7:30pm at the Mission Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday 10:00am at San Francisco Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Ernesto Elizondo will officiate. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Southwood Care Center nurses and staff for their love, kindness and prayers during our Mothers stay. Serving as pallbearers are Carlos Hernandez, Mark Guerrero, Benny Sifuentes, Simon Sifuentes, Jr., Andres Brisenio and Joe Brisenio.
