Obituary of Martha R. Galaviz

Our beloved Martha Rivera Galaviz, age 61, resident of Georgetown, was born into eternal life on Monday, May 27, 2019. She was reunited with her daughter, Elizabeth R. Gonzalez; her parents, Frank Perez and Mary Gallegos Rivera; her brother, Frankie S. Rivera; and her sister, Mary R. Escalante.

Martha leaves behind her children, Rita Gutierrez, and her spouse, Will, Wanda Escobedo, Johnny Pesina, Jr., and his spouse, Alice, Natalie V. Galaviz, and her spouse, Francine, and Sara E. Galaviz; 15 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren; her brother Richard A. Rivera; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and many friends. 

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 6, 2019, with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 East Cesar Chavez Street, Austin, Texas. The chapel will close that evening at 9:00 p.m.. A Funeral Liturgy will be held the following morning, Friday, June 7, 2019, at 11:00 a.m., also at Mission Funeral Home. 

Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
