My sincerest condolences for the loss of your beloved Eric, the loss of loved one especially so young is a painful experience. In the Bible we have a promise found in John 5:28,”Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” When these words come true we will be able to enjoy life alongside our beloved ones who have fallen asleep in death under different circumstances (Revelation 21:4)
